Baby Jack!

Hello all, this is Phil.

Baby Jack was delivered first thing this morning (7.58 am), and all went very well indeed. Amanda did fabulously. The staff's reaction to 'little' Jack upon seeing him was quite funny. He was indeed a pretty big chap, weighing in at 9lb 14oz, he was 23 1/2 inches long and his head was 15 inches in circumference. The medical staff were very pleased at the decision to do an elective C-section.

Since then, things have gone very well for them both. Amanda is already sitting up, and Jack has sailed though all his tests today (they had to do a number of glucose tests simply because of his size). He already is showing himself to be pretty laid back, not even wincing through his first bath and hairwash!

I've popped home from the hospital for a little bit to send some e-mails and other stuff. I'll post some pics to the Picassa Web Album shortly.
