A Day of Firsts

Just a few weeks short of his first birthday, Jack is now sick for the first time. Of course, it happened while we were away from home! Luckily we were with cousin Amy, with her quick thinking and a little divine intervention we were able to see an amazing Pediatric Nurse Practitioner with very little (a matter of minutes) notice. If you live in the Vidalia area and need a pediatrician, try Tots to Teens, a new practice near the hospital. They worked us right in, we did not even have to wait! The staff was great, very similar in practice and values to our practice at home. Anyway, the verdict is a very nasty throat infection. The little guy felt terrible with his first ever fever this morning. Followed by his first ever dose of Tylenol. And a little later followed by his first ever dose of Amoxicillin. I felt and feel terrible for him. He is a little trooper, with the sweetest sick disposition, not a bit fussy, just sweetly looking miserable and trying to play. Hopefully the next few days with find him feeling better, we'll keep you posted.

We've had a great time down in Georgia, except for missing Phil terribly! He is arriving tomorrow! We've been able to spend much needed time with so many people. And this weekend we get to go to Greenville to see J&J before Baby Lily arrives in August!! I am so excited.

In the mean time, here are some pics from the last week. All the rest are in the web album.
